Fashion & Gender

Discussion night on the topic of fashion & gender. Participants will have access to a syllabus with readings & media related to the topic and should plan to read the materials in advance of the discussion night. The discussion leaders, Kimmothy Cole and Olivia Hayes will set up the basic syllabus; however, the syllabus is open and rolling -- meaning the participants can also add suggested readings & material for the group to consider and discuss.

About the discussion leaders:

--Olivia Hayes is a queer stylist and product designer currently designing a clothing line for petite folks. A former burlesque performer, she is inspired by camp, costume design, and helping people feel like the truest version of themselves in what they wear.

--Kimmothy Cole is a multi-disciplinary storyteller focused on decentralizing power in performance and creating experiences that reinforce new narratives and subvert old systems. Cole is the Founding Artistic Director of TAPROOT, a performance collective operating in Austin and Charlotte.
