Fashion & Painting - Wear Your Abstracted Heart On Your Sleeve

Words and images found on graphic tees are some of the most direct forms of communication in fashion, but whose ideas are being broadcast? In this workshop, participants will bring in their own item(s) of clothing & will learn techniques to paint abstract and/or graphic images onto their clothing, communicating their ideas directly to the world. Participants will have the option to hand paint, use found items to create stamps & patterns and/or screen-print their garments.

Workshop leaders: Stephanie Page has over 22 years of fashion experience. After diving in head-first as an international fashion model at the age of 15, she pivoted to a career of retail buying, then revolted from an industry filled to the neckline with consumerism, capitalism and waste by turning to fashion as an art practice and form of self expression. Artist Delilah Knuckley of Bibiliographia specializes in screen printing, sign painting, murals & workshops.
